Wendy Lidster has a background in relationship counselling since 1978 She is a psychotherapist registered with and accredited by the UK Council for Psychotherapy.
She trained as a family mediator with the Family Mediators Association in 1989 and has undertaken further training as a professional practice supervisor. She is a director of Family Mediation in Sussex and practices as a mediator and supervisor in Hove.

All of the FMIS mediators are accredited members of the Family Mediators Association and members of the UK College of Family Mediators and have met its requirements as to competent practice and work to its standards. They are all recognised to conduct publicly funded mediation by the Legal Services Commission.
